Heritage Sites

Avondale Environmental is based in and operates from a Victorian era fortress in Chatham Kent, Fort Horsted. Set in 13.5 acres and with 30 foot deep dry moat encircling the entire facility, the fort has presented some interesting challenges. Day to day operations from a Scheduled Ancient Monument have given us deep insights into maintaining and improving heritage sites both locally and further afield. Enjoy the photo gallery below.
